A Day in Our Life...

School is done until the end of August! Patrick and I both did well this semester. Straight B's for him and Straight A's for me! Patrick finally got his apprenticeship with the Stark County Planning Dept., and he starts next week. He's been applying and interviewing since December, so this is defintely a prayer answered.

Patrick's mom has moved out. She's lived with us for a little over 2 years. We had some good times, but it can be difficult to live with family, and living with his mom put a strain on all of our relationships. Without going into too much detail, we decided after much prayer and counsel with our bishop that it was best for all of us if we asked her to leave. We had found a nice roommate for her here in Ohio, so that she could stay and work for a few more years to get her retirement benefits. However, she decided she wanted to move back to California where Patrick's two sisters are; where she has a lot of friends from Fiji, and where it's a lot warmer. She flew out yesterday - a little upset/bitter with us and a little sad. Even though we all had our struggles and differences we will miss her and wish her well.

And if there was ever any question that we have a 3yr old in the house it was all put to rest when I opened the fridge and found this parked inside:

He does other 3yr old things like:
Building Bridges & Parking Cars
Making faces while on the phone with Grandma
Wearing hula skirts made at preschool

Playing Leapster

Wearing Daddy's Shoes
Pounding Garlic for Mommy's Dinner

Planting his FIRST plant

Notice the lack of necessary tools

All planted (days later a squirrel dug it up and since then Gabriel yells at every squirrel he sees)

Riding our bike to the park

Hanging off of bleachers

Kicking the soccer ball around

Doing a "tough guy" pose for Mommy

Another "tough guy" pose
Making Silly Faces
