Last month was my first semester as a full-time student, which also meant that it was time for Gabriel to start pre-school. He was so excited to finally get to go to "school." We looked at (and toured) several programs/schools and found one that we really like. Gabriel also came with us during our tours, and he was VERY clear about which school he liked the best, which happened to be the one we felt was best for him.
He now attends two days a week, which has been a pretty positive adjustment for him. He LOVES his teachers, classmates and looks forward to going, but he's still getting used to being away from home during the day. His teacher commented that he is a very sweet and well-behaved boy, but has some emotional moments when he misses his mama and can sometimes become a little withdrawn during those moments. It will just take some time for him to adjust, but overall he loves his preschool and reminds us frequently that he is now a "big boy," because he goes to school.
